Touch Pro 2 Review
Touch Pro 2 Review….
After being misinformed about the awaited G2 (that still has not reached the US), I ordered the T Mobile MyTouch in hopes that it would fulfill my android needs. I didn’t want to spend the money to get the G1 if there was a new line of android phones coming out. After I ordered the MyTouch but before it was actually shipped, I discovered the HTC Hero as well as the HTC Touch Pro 2. Although I really wanted an android phone, the HTC Hero had no expected release date for the US. While the HTC Touch Pro 2 was due August 12th. I got a chance to play with the MyTouch before it was shipped and found the screen to be very small and the phone to be not to the standards that I imagined it. The phone was built for its design more or less. I immediately called T Mobile to have them cancel the order. The Pro 2 was the only thing left for me to feast on and boy was it a huge meal.
So far I have been more than pleased with the phone. The web browsing is excellent. And I can honestly say that I don’t have any complaints about the phone as of yet. Although its only been a few weeks and I’m waiting for something to happen, I have heard that the multimedia messaging has been giving people a few issues. I have had a few problems with not being able to get a couple of messages, but T Mobile is well aware of the issue and they are trying to smooth out the problems now. But you can expect that with any new phone that is fresh on the market. The touch screen is super sensitive and can sometimes be a pain when trying to scroll through the contacts. Other than those few minor issues, the phone is exactly what you need if you are the on the go business mogul. The five person conference and the automatic speakerphone (when flipped over) are what make this phone worth the $549.
I’m still trying to learn the ins and outs, but I am honestly waiting for the 6.5 update to see what this phone is really capable of doing.
